The 100 year old Oak Tree

Hand built earthenware vessel multi-layered with glaze, underglaze and slips. Images are drawn using Sgraffito (a scratching technique that reveals layers of underglaze beneath the surface glaze).  The piece is inspired by the life of an ancient English Oak Tree and the wildlife and eco systems that thrive around it.
